Who we are
This policy explains what personal information philosopherontherun.com/ collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Kind Butterfly Designs, a business based in Ontario, Canada. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Kind Butterfly, and “the site” means philosopherontherun.com/.
This policy covers the site only. Our other sites, including kindbutterfly.com, and any membership or shop platforms we link to have their own policies.
Information we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us and what a website needs to run.

We do not collect payment details on this site. We do not knowingly collect sensitive information, such as health information, and we ask you not to send it through comments or forms.
Tools that save to your device
The Reflection Page Generator, Switch Codes and the Creative Alignment Wheel run in your browser. What you type into them stays on your device and is never sent to us.
- Switch Codes keeps the codes you issue in your browser’s local storage, so they appear again next time you visit on the same device.
- Creative Alignment Wheel keeps your daily reflections in local storage on the same basis.
- Copy, Download and Email buttons act only when you click them. The email button opens your own email app with the entry filled in; nothing is sent until you send it.
To remove saved entries, clear this site’s data in your browser settings. We cannot see, recover or delete them for you.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. This site uses only the cookies WordPress needs to run, plus any set by content embedded from other sites. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Visitors who only read the site and do not comment receive no WordPress cookies.
The tools described above use your browser’s local storage, not cookies. Local storage stays on your device and is not sent to the site with each visit.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, except that comment forms will not remember your details. If we add analytics or other cookies, we will update this section first.

Some parts of the site load from other companies, which receive your IP address when they do.

These services handle data under their own policies and may store it outside Canada, including in the United States.
How we use, share and keep it
We use your information only for the reason you gave it to us.
- Use: to reply to messages, send the updates you signed up for, show and moderate comments, and keep the site secure.
- Sharing: we do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the services listed above, or when the law requires it.
- Keeping it: messages are kept as long as needed to reply and follow up. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Approved comments stay published until you ask us to remove them.
- Protection: the site uses an encrypted connection (https), security plugins and limited administrator access. No website is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the safety of information sent over the internet.
- Emails: every email update includes an unsubscribe link, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.
Your rights
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can:
- ask what personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct it
- withdraw your consent, for example by unsubscribing or asking us to delete a comment
- ask us to delete the information we hold about you, where the law allows
Email thekindbutterfly@gmail.com with your request. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children, changes and contact
- Children: the site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
- Changes: when we update this policy, we change the date at the top of this page.
