Selfish Discovery
Oh wow, where do I start.
It’s been a minute since I’ve written a post.
I’ve been changing so rapidly, and consistently that I am a completely new person.
Selfish discovery is a concept I’ve pondered for the last 4 years. It’s one that came to me while I was healing from extreme mental health issues, and has helped guide me toward becoming who I am today.
What is Selfish Discovery?
It’s best described as a journey of self-maintenance,
Gradually transforming from a smashed up 2001 smart car, into a beautifully brand new, 2019 Mercedes Benz.
The smart car, is decent, but doesn’t have a lot of space, or understanding, about the world.
There’s no room for expansion, and so, one accident leads to a life of sitting in a parking lot, never being fixed, but never understanding what went wrong.
It’s the metamorphosis of the beat up smart car that takes place, when the car says to itself, I am worthy of blessings.
Acknowledging worthiness creates a spark for the car, an inspiration and curiosity for the plan the Universe Mechanic has set out for them.
Despite being broken, smashed up and lacking physical value, there is a mechanic who has a vision of rebirth for the smart car.
The Journey to Radical Self Love & Unconditional Self Acceptance
This is the best part of life. It’s a difficult part, bringing struggles and anxieties to the surface.
It’s the Robert Frost poem, eloquently detailing the two paths of life; one that is simple, and consistent, yet unfulfilling.
Or the one less travelled.
Selfish discovery is often seen as selfishness to those who cannot grasp wholeness of unconditional love.
Society tells us that caring about ourselves is not beneficial to others. However, this is far from true.
For when we have unconditional love for ourselves, we begin to pour love outwards to others.
How to Access Your Inner Loving Wisdom for Selfish Discovery
Throughout my own journey, the hardest part has been acknowledging those parts of me which are negative, hidden, and not nice to look at.
As I’ve gone through my personal experiences, I’ve learned there is guidance within us.
There is a philosopher within you, one who is wise and loving, and wishes to share their knowledge of life with you.
Accessing and acknowledgining your inner philosopher (or innner loving iwsdom) is possible with 3 key principles.
1. Intention
Intention creates purpose in your life. when you activate your intention from your inner loving wisdom, you open the portal to your inner being’s true knowledge, purpose, and gifts.
2. Perspective
We often go through our lives being raised with a certain perspective, or belief about concepts such as abundance, success, ability and trust.
The portal that is opened with intention allows for the possbiility of seeing things differently. This means a change in perspective is possible.
Even if your mind is now open to a counter view, that is your inner philosopher showing you the multi-sided views of life.
3. Connection
The most important principle is what comes when you combine the last two, connection. Inner connection, physical connection (with a bracelet), and mind connection.
The trifecta if you will. Intention leads to perspective shifts, which leads to inner connection.
When you acknowledge the bigger part of you, the part that is made in divine connection to God, the part that is connected to others through Universal Consciousness and recognize the wisdom all around you, your inner philosopher is activated and becomes a part of you.
Remember…
The process of Selfish Discovery is one that takes time, patience, and persistence.
One of my coaches described it as fighting off the devil who is trying to convince you that you’re incapable and that nothing is meant for you but struggle and defeat.
The solution occurs, when you fight your way out of rock bottom and conquer the part of you the devil was taunting.
Love Always,
Kristina
