What happens when your inspiration fades… how do you re-inspire yourself?
Slowly… you wonder… what’s the point?
How do you get it back?
Before you give up on your dream and land back in the pit of despair?
No one wants to be in the pit of despair.
So here are some tips to re-inspire yourself when you’re feeling off.
1. Exercise
The first thing I do when my brain is telling me lies about my creativity, is go for a run.
This stems mainly from an overactive mind, the only thing that helps control it is to focus on something else completely for at least half an hour.
Running releases endorphins, which help to lift your mood and even if your inspiration doesn’t come back, you did something good for your mind and your body!
2. Go Outside
I am a huge fan of sitting outside on my back deck and taking in the beauty of nature.
It isn’t often that I go further than my deck, I like to stay in one place, but going for a walk outside, is a good way to reignite your inspiration.
3. Cuddle with your animal
This is for all my hilarious dog loving friends!
If you have a creature, give them a hug, and a cuddle.
My family has two dogs, and a cat, so when I’m really feeling lonely, or uninspired, I will round them all up and have a family party in my room.
The cat never seems to thrilled with this, but she does enjoy being with me, on her terms of course.
4. Draw, dance, sing, write music, be creative!
It’s harder, for writers, (I know I’m biased as a writer myself), but being creative is like running!
Being creative takes your full focus, and pushes you to do something even when your mind tells you it’s not worth it!
The internet, though sometimes overwhelming, is full of inspiration!
I love searching for templates of things to draw, and getting inspired by fashion, beads, or tattoo designs.
Figure out what sort of things inspire you to be more inspired and immerse yourself in photos, blog posts, and videos on those things.
5. Meditate
When I really cannot find my inspiration, like the other night.
I like to release the tension in my mind through meditation.
Dr. Wayne Dyer, has wonderful, powerful, meditations that have helped me, and I am sure will help you!
Christie Marie Sheldon also has wonderful meditations for bringing more love, money, and abundance into your life through simple, yet powerful meditations.
6. Have a bath, or a shower
As a last resort, I will take a shower, or have a nice relaxing bath to use the water to wash away the tension.
Epsom salt baths are truly a wonderful way to leave the stress in your body behind and relax into the moment.
Bath’s are incredibly relaxing because they force you to pause, take a moment to breath, and enjoy yourself.
There’s no rushing, no quick in and out when you have a bath.
Remember…
Questioning yourself is your mind playing tricks on you.
Your ego will try and tell you that no one reads your blog, and all your ideas have been done before.
In order to re-inspire yourself and remove the funk, practicing these actions will bring spirit back into your awareness and thus your inspiration will come back.
Never give up on something that fills you with passion.
More importantly, never give up on yourself.
Blessings,
With light and love,
stay true stay weird~~
