Steps to Feeling Good
I realized the other day, that you can focus on the past; your past; or you can step through yourself, into a future self, and project your desires and focus on feeling good.
To break this down, we can continue the idea of magnetism, magic, and miracles. I wrote about the concept of magnetism briefly, so consider this an expansion.
There are 7 clear steps to begin attracting a continuous and unlimited vibration of positivity.
1. Allow a good feeling!
It’s more than just turning a frown into a smile.
That’s hard to do when your sadness is real.
Allowing yourself to feel good is about relaxing into the feeling of where you are, your true current feeling, then choosing a slightly more pleasing thought.
I can’t control my money.
It’s easy for me to control my finances.
It’s fun to have financial freedom!
There’s so much potential for serving others, and making money when I’m having at my job!
These statements are the gradual increase in feeling good.
They’re generally stating how I want to feel, and the first one states the reality of what has happened before.
Every time I write a more positive statement, it’s easier for me to continue, as well as move toward a better feeling statement.
2. Relax into feeling good!
For me, relaxing and being in my body was always difficult.
If you have trouble relaxing and feeling safe in your body, place your hand on your heart and breath deeply three times, and say it is safe to choose to be in my body, I relax into my body.
Allow yourself to feel the tension release from all your muscles.
Breathe again, and keep repeating statements of safety in your body until you feel comfortable relaxing into a feeling good sensation.
There’s no right way to feel good, it’s just a way of being, you’ll know what it feels like when you’re in this feeling.
3. Believe it’s easy to feel good!
It’s easy to doubt that feeling good is easy! But it’s harder to believe that is hard to feel good! Why? Because your ego doesn’t want you to release it’s manipulative grip on you!
Choose to believe feeling good comes naturally to you, and it will be easy.
You may be wondering what a belief is, if you’ve read my previous work, I applaud you for having this question! We’ll be discussing philosophy as a practice later this month!
Abraham Hicks say that a belief is a thought that you continue to think, or a pattern of continuous thought.
I will never have enough money to be free. I am always stuck in a bad mood. It’s hard to change my mood.
This is an example of a thought pattern, in which your mind is telling you false beliefs based on a bad experience, trauma, or a wounded child holding onto something that caused your fight or flight response.
In order to heal where this negative pattern comes from, it’s necessary to uncover and release the pain held inside it.
There are more processes for the wounded child, as this is a large part of the healing process and can take a significant amount of focused attention to heal.
4. Be open to feeling good!
Openness is vital to the feeling of positivity, happiness, and joy.
Picture meeting the perfect person, could be a friend or romantic partner, but either way they are your ideal person.
You walk up to this person, and their first glance is a side eye that looks you up and down, you can sense how closed off their vibe is and your reaction becomes more toned down than it would have been, if they had smiled at you without glancing up and down.
This is their vibrational openness.
If your vibration is not open to a higher level, the level of love, joy, fun, and happiness, then you will feel repelled by people who have this vibration.
It’s also where comparison is considered, if you’re judging yourself to what others are doing, you’re not at your highest vibration.
A lot of our thoughts are patterns developed when we are young, and repeating them throughout adulthood makes it harder to let go of them.
Consider this a spring cleaning for your mindset, thoughts, and beliefs.
Allow, relax, and believe that feeling good is easy, and openness to new perspectives comes naturally to you.
5. Feeling good benefits you, as well as for others!
Once the first four steps are natural to you, it’s a lot easier to practice feeling good consistently, and then it becomes contagious!
The more you feel good about yourself, your life, and everything you have to offer the world, the more others around you will begin to feel good as well.
The trick is not to get stumped when someone else is feeling negative!
Consider yourself a fortress of positude, similar to solitude, except you do everything you can to maintain your personal positivity.
Write out how you are feeling can also help to raise your vibration, follow the method of statements, and increasing the ease of your language.
Remember…
Start slow, one step at a time. If you’re working yourself out of a pit of negative thinking, start by writing a list of activities that bring you joy!
Then follow the steps above and try the processes within them.
I’m excited to write daily for the whole month of May! I’m considering it a challenge to see how much I can blossom as a writer, and use my voice for love and wisdom (philosophy) this month!
I call it wildflower may because I’m obsessed with flowers, floral print, and everything colourful and pretty this time of year.
Hope you enjoyed this! Leave a comment, and check out my instagram page for more wisdom!
With love and light,
