Have you ever wondered how the most successful people go about their daily life? What sort of healthy habits do they maintain in order to achieve what some call Quantum Success?
This year, and at the end of 2019, I jumped on the healing train. I hopped in the first seat and said full steam ahead to my spirit guides.
Upon reflection, I didn’t realize this train was going faster than the Behemoth at wonderland and doing more loops than the Bat coaster.
However, I have landed in the station, after a whirlwind ride to get myself to a place of solid ground, stability, and new found consistency.
Some of the most important steps I’ve implemented are also the habits that success people have in their daily life.
1. It’s more than changing your mindset
A lot of self help guru’s will argue that it’s mind over matter, and you can control your mind in order to control your body. I agree with this premise, as it is vital to true quantum success. I can’t help but wonder if this is only the first step.
After asking Gay Hendricks a question about letting go of shame, on the Year of Miracles group call. I realized that the action of embodying, becoming, and allowing love in, is what I was missing.
I found his book on self-love, a work book actually, that my mom had given me for my 23rd birthday. I had never looked at it, until after I asked that question.
2. Actions are hard without self-connection
I learned while in university that a lot of my issues were associated with executive function. I have ADHD/ADD and would take those medications to help with focus.
I stopped taking all medications in 2018 because I wanted to pursue a more holistic and natural approach. I found that CBD oil from a medical cannabis supplier calmed my emotions to a state where I felt stable.
The problem was, I still didn’t know what I wanted, or how to change my unhealthy habits.
A lot of my unhealthy habits were mechanisms for self-soothing I adopted during times of extreme stress in my life. I realized after reading many personal development books, that I was in a rut of unemployment and depression, and I needed to stop being afraid and ask for help.
Asking for help, and connecting with others is how I get to know myself better. I learn from others how to handle different situations, and share what I’m going through in order to understand it from a different perspective.
3. Trade fear for trust
Another big thing that has changed in my life, and defined a healthy habit for me is connecting to myself through God.
As a child, I loved going to summer camp, where bible study, worship music, and fireside chats were the main events. I learned to get out of my comfort-zone by acting and performing in a play in front of the campers.
However, I started to realize that the person I was at camp, I wasn’t able to be at home.
At home, I would choose sleep over studying and spent more time alone because I felt constantly excluded in my social life.
Over the past couple of months, I’ve let God in. I’ve traded my fears for trust and purpose, and surrendered my life to live in service for the good of others.
There is something remarkable about utilitarian philosophy that always spoke to me, doing things for the good of all, or the greater good, is the best case for everyone.
I remember reading John Stuart Mill and Jeremy Bentham in university and learning that Mill actually suffered a nervous breakdown at 25 and he completely changed his views because of it.
Remember…
Everyone is different, and healthy habits may mean intention setting to you, and drawing to another.
Health and success go hand in hand. If you aren’t able to practice healthy habits for yourself, how will you help teach others how to create them?
Quantum success is a topic I discussed in September while focusing only on personal development for the Rainbow Project.
This month is the sprouting of those ideas, connecting them to larger actions and seeing how I embody them in daily life.
I hope you enjoyed the topic of healthy habits and quantum success! Let me know in a comment below!
