Happy Thanksgiving long weekend to all my Canadian readers!
I am so grateful that I started working on this blog in the summer!
It goes along then, that I am grateful for the stoned version of me who decided to buy a domain name and call it Philosopherontherun!
She had high hopes for my future self, and I’m sitting here, every waking moment thinking about how to become more like the name of my blog.
How do I make it more me?
Honestly, there is no answer, but there is just a vision in my head.
Mainly elephants, roses, lotus flowers, and of course it’s pink, and probably sparkly too…
Does that seem like it goes with the name?
Huh, not really, but maybe if I throw in a picture of me running while wearing or embodying all these things it’ll be more true to the name!
What are you grateful for?
There are so many things to be grateful for in this life.
I want to write a list of all the things that I am truly grateful for;
1. My family
Not everyone is as blessed as I am, sometimes I consider it less of a blessing to still live with my parents, and sister.
But everyone goes through life at their own pace.
I’ve already lived away from home, and I remember coming home as often as I could for the first two years.
It’s also wonderful because my parents cook and I don’t have to!
2. My dogs, and cat
These creatures mean the world to me.
The love I have for animals goes so deep inside my soul.
I wished for a dog from the moment I could comprehend what a dog was! And now I have two!
Fun fact though, I am actually allergic to cats, and some tree nuts, but that never stopped my family from adding a cat to our nest!
In fact, we got our cat in August of 2011, the summer I spent packing and moving into residence, and preparing for my first year of undergraduate studies.
Now, I love this cat more than anything, and I am not allergic to her, unless I cuddle her, or hold her, or do anything where the fur gets near my eyes.
3. Friends, mentors, colleagues, and others who support me
There are so many people in my life on a daily basis who just make it that much better!
My gratitude toward my friends is so strong it fills me with a warm love.
I am beyond thankful for the people who take the time to mentor me, and put up with my ever changing moods of inspiration, and lack of it.
It’s not like my endless silly questions are enough, like Kristina, the internet does exist… yes, but I prefer to ask people and hear it from people I trust rather than use my eyes, and brain and find it on the internet.
I’m weird and I’ve accepted it, I’m just grateful that others can accept it too.
Some of my mentors and friends, even encourage my weirdness!
That’s the funniest to me, like guys, I already don’t fit in, are you trying to make it more obvious?
Remember…
I could write a book on things and people I am grateful for and list 100 reasons each!
But I will stop with these three things because they are the most important to what I do on a daily basis.
I guess it’s four things because I am grateful for the people who read my blog, and take the time out of their lives to attempt to understand what my brain spits out!
Hahaha, I’ve had one too many vegan cookies, and a whole bottle of Vanilla Chai by bolthouse farms, which, if you’re vegan and haven’t tried, it is a MUST!
Remember that gratitude holds a lot of power within it, and writing out the things you are grateful for everyday is a powerful method of personal development.
I hope you enjoyed reading this!
Blessings,
with light and love,
stay true, stay weird~~
