After running out of Harvey’s apartment, Katie wakes up on a strange man’s couch.
He assures her that she’s safe, but some familiar memories heighten her fear, and Katie runs away. Nate’s familiar face lingers as she runs home.
Recap…
I got up, and ran out the door.
Ok, how do I get to my house from here?
I hope he’s not following me…
Turning around to check, I realized there was something familiar about that man… Nate…
Could he have been the man of my dreams?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That dream…
So vivid, so real, could I have met him in real life?
Is it possible to meet someone and feel like you’ve known them your whole life?
For the connection to be instant and light a fire in your soul?
KATIE!
I turned, as a shiver of déjà-vu raced down my spine, racing towards me, this man – tall, handsome in the most wholesome way – here to save me.
Katie! Please, listen to me! I’m sorry if I scared you, but can we just talk? For a minute?
He leaned toward me just enough to give me the perfect puppy dog eyes.
Sparkling green, with a touch of brown around the rim, entranced by him, I stuttered.
I, I don’t know…
I have to tell you, we’ve met before, I’m just not sure you remember.
What do you mean?
Come with me, I’ll show you.
As soon as he touched my hand, I felt it.
The memory, or the memory of the dream, still not sure, I grabbed his hand and felt my heart race.
He turned and smiled at me, it’s like I knew him from a past life.
I’m sure he’s the light at the end of my tunnel.
