Today marks the start of a BRAND NEW SERIES!!
YES seriously! This month marks the LAST of a whirlwind of a year! It completes a bunch of cycles for me, and marks the start of a new decade of my life, as well as a new chapter of co-creating with the universe.
It’s a chapter that does not yet have a title, but it has meaning.
This post isn’t about that, though, it’s about methods for releasing the past and how to focus on the future.

Releasing the past is easier when youโre focused on the possibilities of the future. This means making a plan and setting yourself up for a bright bright future!
Two years ago, I thought I had no future. I didn’t know what I wanted, I just knew that I felt a lot of ways about the world. I felt like I wasn’t capable, or worth the possibility of a future.
And then I started to dedicate my time to doing things I LOVE and everything changed. Everything changed because I started to write about the past, and thus process it and then let it go with more ease.
My vision for the future became more clear, as I sorted my way through experiences. The vision is always changing, and growing but that doesn’t mean you can’t see the possibility of what you desire.

โฃEvery new day is a fresh start! That also means that every new month is a fresh span of time that can be within your own customization and control. Use general words and topics to guide your time. โฃ
Every new month I create a series on this blog. I love to challenge myself to write everyday or every weekday for that entire month to see how much content I can create.
Planning the time out is necessary for the success of content creation. However, the way I plan my time is different than usual.
There are 3 steps.
1. choose a word for the month
2. choose a theme based on that word for the first two weeks, and for the last two weeks
3. break up the two week chunks into one week chunks, and plan out each day.
It ends up looking like this;
December word: Inspiration – first two weeks – movement – last two weeks – mindset
Using these general words as a guide for each day of this month, and seeing how the time can be broken down and planned out in your own way is powerful for deciding how to show up that month.

Having fun is so MUCH FUN!
Haha, duh!!! Listen up though!
When youโre having fun, youโre in the moment and your vibe is HIGH!
Making time for fun means you are prioritizing your VIBES! And that is AMAZING! โฃ
It’s easy to say, make time for having fun, but then the next step is to actually do it, and schedule it in. If that means blocking off a chunk of time on your phone with an event titled PAINTING NO EXCUSES, then by all means, do it that way!
If you find you have to aggressively force yourself to remember to have fun, try to add a little more humour into your life, and remember that life is not serious. It’s all about lessons, and experiences. There’s no final test at the end to see how well you did. If your mind tells you there is, do some digging and uncover the real reason you’re scared of failing.

Hedonism is not for those who seek pleasure in the wrong ways, but also gifts us a perspective of how to make everyday mundane things more pleasurable.
Have you ever had a shower where you just felt how beautiful your body is? Noticing every detail of your skin, and thanking your body for everything it offers you? That is PLEASURABLE. โฃ
Pleasure is mainly found through our physical senses. Think of the taste of a Lindt Chocolate on Christmas Eve, there’s a certain pleasure that comes with that memory, or whatever memory of eating chocolate you have.
It’s not about being encompassed by pleasure to the point of only seeking pleasure. Instead it’s about finding the pleasurable moments throughout the day, and acknowledging them through your physical senses.
Example could be, feeling your hands as you wash them, what the water feels like, what the soap smells like. Or while you’re eating, slowing yourself down to bask in the taste of your food. It’s about elongating the moment and getting as much physical pleasure as possible into the body through the senses.

You’ve heard 100 people talk about the importance of your mindset. Watching what you think about, and being mindful of your emotions and reactions.
Well, mindfulness offers more than just awareness, it also offers the skills of recognizing when weโre thinking about the past and acknowledging how to think a better feeling thought. โฃ
It’s more than just attempting to control your mind, it’s about seeing patterns and changing them.
Being mindful of your thoughts helps to release the past by allowing for gentle awareness of those thoughts, and then acknowledging with love that these thoughts are not serving you right now, and releasing them with ease.
Instead of using anger and aggression, the approach is gentleness, calmness, and love.

The most important part of releasing the past is asking your higher self, inner being, soul self, for guidance.
All of these version of โselfโ live only in the moment, and thus offer a perspective that is higher and larger than our own limited ideas.
Recently, I had an experience of profound healing, where I had to ask my soul for help. I realized that I never have to speak out loud to my soul, because my soul hears my thoughts. It responds and communicates to me through pure thoughts.
An example of asking your soul for help, is feeling yourself getting nervous while you’re in an interview, and instead of blurting out “im so anxious right now I just need a minute to breathe”, you can pause, and think the thought, soul, help me to be calm and remember that I am capable. Thank you for speaking through me in this moment.
You will notice a profound shift in your own consciousness. From anxious and talking too fast and rambling almost about nothing, to consistent, clear, and confident communication, all from just thinking about asking your soul to come forward.
In this healing experience, I also learned that we have a BIG soul that lives beyond our physical presence here. It’s our soul, but multiplied to infinity and beyond – literally.
Big soul knows everything. Big soul hears everything. Most of all, Big soul knows who you really are, and why you’re here on earth.
You, in this physical body, are little soul. You’re the physical animation of Earth and Consciousness to create a body. Your body is made of earth, matter, and your animation of that body is made of energy consciousness. It’s really spectacular once you can zoom out of the 3D consciousness and see just how incredible life really is.

Very good, now focus on creating the feeling of joy. You want a partner, picture being with the love of your life. What would you talk about, what do they sound like, smell like, feel like? What do their eyes look like? How do they act when they’re nervous?
Create the vision in your mind, focus on it. Do you have the perfect moment in your head?
great. Now let it go. Release it.
that is called visualization. creating a feeling through our minds visual capacity for experiencing physical reality and emotional sensations.

The idea itself of releasing the past is flawed because it focuses on the negative or lack. The true idea is how can we create new experiences and new feelings that are aligned with our truest desires. โฃ
Releasing is valuable only when we can learn to see beyond the restrictions of time and the limitations society imposes upon us.
REMEMBER…
Releasing the past is different for everyone, and as stated above, the idea of releasing the past is flawed because it focuses on releasing the negative.
A gentle reminder that every moment of time is only that one moment, that’s why it feels like time is moving. However, this moment of time only differs from when you were 6 by the maturity of your consciousness. The more time you exist in consciousness the more capacity for wisdom and love you have. The more you begin to understand life.
That’s why we value age as a method of legitimizing wisdom.
