Hey friends! It’s been a hot minute since I last wrote a post!
I’ll be honest, A LOT has changed, including my age! I know, happy belated birthday to me, and thank you for acknowledging this new age I’ve entered into.
This post is all about healing! What it is, why it is a thing, and how the covid crisis has pushed so many more people into the depths of their stuff in order to start acknowledging the need for healing in the first place.
If you’re reading this, then you’re probably wondering what the most common signs are that you’re even ready to start healing, or you know you’re reading and you are confused about where to start.
Not to worry, I got you! I’ve written out the top 5 signs that you’re ready to start healing, and where to start if you’re noticing these in your reality.
Sign # 1 You’re noticing when you’re feeling uncomfortable and want to change this feeling
In normal conversations, with friends or family, you are noticing yourself feeling uncomfortable around them when they’re complaining, or belittling themselves.
Your own awareness of how others are communicating is heightened and you’re not sure why, but this awareness is offering a knowing of discomfort. and that feeling is scaring you.
Sign # 2 Repeating numbers and random coincidences are happening all the time
Repeating numbers, such as 111, 222, 11:11, and 4:44 are appearing to you all the time! You know these are a sign from the universe, and you also feel more connected to something larger than yourself.
Then there’s the random coincidences and things that pop into your reality. Maybe you’re thinking of your mom and all of a sudden she calls. Things like this mean that your intuition is growing stronger and you’re able to access that part of you which is aligned with universal consciousness.
Sign # 3 You want to be part of something bigger than yourself
You have been seeing repeating numbers, and gaining awareness, and now you know you want to be part of something bigger than yourself, you just don’t know where to start. Not to worry, this is why I’m here, to help you figure out where you stand and how to create your unique identity.
My first suggestion to anyone who wants to be part of the leading edge is to go to YouTube and search Abraham Hicks and click the first video that come sup. Whatever is in that video is a message for you.
Sign # 4 You feel stuck, lost, confused, or scared about the future
Yup, so this sign is often at the beginning of a spiritual awakening. You know there is more to life, but you’re stuck in negative thought patterns, beliefs, and ideas about life. Your anxiety runs the show and you don’t know who you are unless you’re with someone else, in friendship or romance.
This is a sign for healing because it is a red flag for co-dependency.
Sign # 5 Your desire to help others is strong
The final sign you’re ready to start healing is the strong desire to help others become aware of the universe and what it means to live an aligned life.
Woohoo, you’re probably at the middle, or further into your spiritual awakening and so this desire is strong. Maybe you don’t know where to start, or who to help.
Where and How to start Healing
If you related to any of the 5 signs above, then the next steps are for you.
Step 1: Gain more self-awareness.
So you’re becoming more aware of your reality, how others talk to you, and how you talk to them. That’s fantastic! What to do next is to create more awareness in yourself by digging deeper into yourself.
Self awareness is the key to healing because everything in our reality is a reflection of a part of ourselves. You can think of it as dimensions of yourself being shown to certain people at certain times through communication and connection to them. How we relate to others says a lot about how we feel on the inside, and what we are or are not aware of.
Once you begin to practice asking what can I learn from this, each difficult or uncomfortable interaction becomes more of a lesson, and your consciousness will start to mature.
Step 2: Ask the universe for signs through meditation, writing, and gratitude.
Once you’ve started to cultivate awareness of yourself and something greater than yourself, now is the time to begin asking for signs.
If you’re mind is telling you its weird to ask, that’s not true. Every time you believe in hope you are asking for a sign of more. Every time we believe in Christmas, or the weekend, we are believing in an opportunity.
Asking for a sign, is getting confirmation that this universal intelligence is working in your favour. The thing about this life, is that free will exists, which means that you need to ask for guidance before it can be given to you in a way you’ll understand/.
The best way to ask for a sign is to meditate, quiet your mind and focus on nothing. It may take some time to practice this habit and you’ll begin to notice a difference in how you feel if you maintain it.
My favourite way to ask for a sign is to write thank you guides of the highest truth and compassion for writing through me, which is a prompt that Gabby Bernstein offers to her readers.
Another method is to practice gratitude. Acknowledge daily 5 things you’re grateful for beyond the basics. Say thank you for the little things that make you happy, and even the opportunities to learn and heal through life.
These work best in combination, all together, but start with one and see how you feel after about two weeks.
Step 3: Find your “why”
Part of the healing process is finding your purpose. What I’ve learned through the past couple of years is that you create your purpose by outlining why you’re doing this.
What is the purpose of your healing. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 3 years? 6 months? and how will you be able to make a difference with your story?
These questions are all centred around outlining why you’re on this journey in the first place. Figuring that out is the first step to creating and defining your why.
Step 4: Become conscious of when you’re feeling anxious, and acknowledge it with a process.
Awareness is key. That’s what all the healers say, but how can we really acknowledge awareness if it makes us feel uneasy, or the emotion is so strong that it’s hard to get out of it? I’ve struggled with this question, and honestly still do.
What I’ve learned is to bring my attention to when I’m feeling anxious and love myself for it. To acknowledge the part of me that reacts with anxiety through the lens of love is powerful because it pours love to that part.
A process that I’ve used this year to get me through anxiety is to ask myself what I’m feeling, and mirror it back. Simply saying I see you need love. This process helps me to see my own needs, and acknowledge them as worthy.
Step 5: Think in problem- solution mentality, and situate yourself as someone who can help others solve a problem.
The final step to becoming healed (which is an egoic illusion) is to create your identity as a healer and figure out what problem you help others solve.
This takes some time to figure out, and so it’s part of the in-depth healing process.
Remember…
Healing is a journey, and once you start, there’s no going back.
It will take you to different dimensions of yourself, you’ll feel like a brand new version of yourself at times.
Healing doesn’t happen over night, it takes time, dedication, and practice of processes and tools to gain emotional intelligence, and wisdom from experiences.
That being said, I hope that this post inspires you to start your healing journey with yourself.
stay true, stay weird.
